Member NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals), 2007 - present.
CURRENTLY WORKING with many fine Adobe products, as well as preferred 3rd party software
titles including Noise Ninja and iView Media Pro. Filters- Using filters is a lot like visiting Playland at The Beach with my Grandpa when I was little: fun. I like the offerings from Flaming Pear; the ultimate in creative filtering for me, though, is Adobe Lab’s Pixel Bender. I work on a Mac.
Also currently and for the past 10 years I have been employed at Skylark Images, printing fine art reproductions for artists all over Sonoma County and the United States.
CURRENTLY SHOOTING with EOS Canon 20D, and a small collection of lenses.
CURRENTLY AVOIDING the overdue upgrade in camera equipment until finances stabilize.
TOO MUCH INFORMATION: Childhood spent in Marin County, California. Following graduation from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, I attended The Hebrew University, Mt Scopus, Jerusalem, with a dual major in English Literature and Art History. My arts background is in traditional graphics and printmaking, specifically serigraphy. I have been doing my prepress work and editing digitally for over 15 years. I am a photographer with solid technical skills. Thanks to digital technology I can see my progress with every "roll" of film I take, but I have much to learn. I need to develop my "photographer's eye"…
…which brings me to a quote attributed to Jack Kerouac on this very subject:
"Anybody doesn’t like these pitchers don’t like poetry, see? Anybody don’t like poetry go home see television shots of big hatted cowboys being tolerated by kind horses. Robert Frank, Swiss, unobtrusive, nice, with that little camera that he raises and snaps with one hand he sucked a sad poem right out of America onto film, taking rank among the poets of the world. To Robert Frank I now give this message: You got eyes."
